Our Midshipman Program What Is The Midshipman Program? Our Midshipman Program is a leadership program for boys and girls 12 years and older. The program was designed to help develop young people's leadership skills. It is very similar in many ways to our Young Marine Program, except that the members of our Midshipman Program wear Naval Midshipman uniforms similar to the uniforms worn by the Midshipmen at the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis. Requirements for our Midshipman Program are the same as those of our Young Marine Program, and just as stringent. Our Midshipman are taught a variety of subjects and are trained to become Officers in our Corps. They learn all aspects of cadeting, from how to train new recruits to the administration process. If you are a serious minded teenager who is looking for a low cost, challenging and rewarding program, then this might very well be the program for you.
