Our Midshipman Program is a leadership program for young adults 17 to 21 years. The program was designed to help develop young people's leadership skills. It is patterned after and is very similar in many ways the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC). It takes volunteers and helps mold them into mentors while at the same time giving them a knowledge of military studies. When the member turns 21 years old, he or she may apply for an appointment as a Cadet/Ensign or Cadet/ Second Lieutenant.
If you are a serious minded teenager who is looking for a low cost, challenging and rewarding program, then this might very well be the program for you.
